Colored ICe

Cuyahoga River - 2026

Colored Ice started with texture and mood.

I was out by the Cuyahoga River and chose to look down instead of across. What most people walk past every day became something else from above. Ice that feels ordinary turns abstract. Harsh. Layered. Alive.

Some images are heavily color graded. Others enhance what was already there. The goal was not to change the river, but to see it differently.

This series is both place and abstraction. It is Cleveland, but it is also shape, color, and feeling. There is beauty in the cold. Poetry in the harshness. I want viewers to sit with it long enough to hear their own soundtrack.

Colored Ice is an observation.
